Coaching Schedule

Level 1

Pre-course membership giving access to 8 hours practice ground learning with occasional organised golf on the Ashludie course.

Juniors in this category can move through the Scottish Golf ‘Learn to Golf’ programme designed to help them reach the ability to get a handicap and begin their competitive journey.

The Learn to Golf programme covers 5 key areas:

  • Physical Skills – Developing skills such as speed, agility, co-ordination and balance.
  • Golf Skills – Developing technical skills in putting, chipping, pitching, full swing, and bunker shots.
  • Mind Matters – Fostering mental qualities such as selfconfidence, perseverance and learning to deal with mistakes.
  • On the Course – Preparation for playing on the course and participating in fun team and individual competitions.
  • Golf Knowledge – Understanding important elements of golf such as rules, etiquette, equipment and safety

Level 2

For improving juniors with, or ready to obtain, a handicap. Gives access to play on the Ashludie course and performance based coaching.

Use of the Practice ground and Putting Greens plus up to 14 Hours coaching with a PGA Professional based on the Practice ground and Ashludie Golf Course. Saturday 9-hole competition from May- September allowing juniors to gain a handicap and learn the game on course. Inter club matches and inter club Sixes competition with fellow Angus County Golf Clubs.

Level 3

For experienced juniors. Gives access to play on both the Ashludie and Medal courses, subsidised coaching and funding opportunities for County/Scottish level competitions.

Medal/Ashludie Category – Membership includes 7-day season ticket for the Medal & Ashludie Courses subject to availability. Use of the Practice ground and Putting Greens. Subsidised 50% Off individual lessons with a PGA Professional. Saturday 9-hole competition from May- September including Order of Merit. Access to Monifieth, Grange/Broughty & Ladies Panmure Golf Club competitions subject to suitability
