About coaching levels…
Level 1 coaching – from beginner to ready for handicap.
We use Scottish Golf’s ‘learn to golf’ system to bring juniors from enthusiastic beginners to the point of being ready to obtain their handicap. This is a 5 step system, with achievements at every stage, each achieving a new colour of wristband. This also helps heach child, and their parents, to know where they are on their development path.

Level 2 development – obtaining handicaps and improving
Five scores over 9 holes is all it takes to have a handicap allocated and then juniors break through into the more competitive side of golf. The coaching for this group will tend to be around course management and there will be much more focus on playing the ashludie course, and other courses.
Level 3 Development – supporting rising stars
By Level 3, golfers normally have their own own coach and may also be part of the county or Scottish coaching set up. So that this stage our focus is on offering challenging competitions (club/links championships) and providing financial upport for travel to national events. Level 3 juniors have a ticket for both courses.
